Seth Fischbach

Burrell, sr., WR/DB

The big-play Bucs veteran made himself known on both sides of the ball in Friday’s Week Zero win over Valley. He caught Burrell’s first touchdown pass, a 56-yarder from Alex Arledge, and finished with four receptions for 109 yards. He made a defensive impact with an interception that set up the opening score.

Kam Grassi

Knoch, sr., QB/CB

In his varsity debut, the signal-caller used his feet to help the Knights rack up a season-opening victory. He tallied 53 rushing yards on 12 carries with a 1-yard TD run in the second quarter and a 13-yard scamper in the fourth to set the 24-0 final. Knoch kept it on the ground as Grassi threw just five passes.

DJ Loveland

Highlands, jr., WR/CB

Loveland was a turnover machine against Plum last week, but in a good way. He recovered two fumbles, including one in the end zone for Highlands’ lone score. He also snuffed out two Mustangs drives with interceptions. He also caught three passes for 36 yards.

Christian Vokes

Springdale, sr., RB/DB

Vokes was a big factor in the Dynamos’ dramatic victory over Deer Lakes. He rambled for 107 yards and scored touchdowns of 2 and 10 yards and had six tackles on defense. Then, after Springdale tallied the go-ahead touchdown with 53 seconds left, he blocked a last-second Lancers field-goal attempt that helped the hosts secure the win at Veterans Memorial Field.
