Trib HSSN Girls Soccer All-Stars

Fab 15

Player of the year

Lola Abraham

Sr., F, Riverview

Known for scoring goals in bunches, Lola Abraham was an offensive stalwart with the disruptive tendencies of a defender.

Slow her down early, she’ll probably burn you late.

Braces and hat tricks were only signs of more to come.

The explosive Abraham was an easy choice for TribLive HSSN Girls Soccer Player of the Year after an indelible senior season.

Abigail Stager of North Allegheny and Fiona Mahan of Avonworth also were considered.

Abraham, a Pitt commit, led the WPIAL with 77 goals and added 19 assists as Riverview finished as the Class A runner-up in the WPIAL and PIAA.

She also was the fifth recipient of the Moe Rosensteel Award, which recognizes the most talented player in WPIAL girls soccer, and the TribLive Valley News Dispatch player of the year.

The story of the Raiders and their Abraham-led rise from doldrums to delight is well documented. Riverview had to cancel its season in 2020 due to low roster turnout.

Abraham’s meteoric ascent saw her net 43 goals as a sophomore and 56 as a junior before her epic 2023 run.

Her 77 goals were two short of the WPIAL record of 79 set by Greensburg Central Catholic’s Bailey Cartwright in 2015.

Abraham, who had 21 goals alone in eight playoff games this season, finished her career with 176.
