High school roundup for Nov. 28, 2023: Upper St. Clair hockey blanks Canon-McMillan

Owen Laurent made 20 saves to lead Upper St. Clair to a 3-0 victory over Canon-McMillan in PIHL Class 3A hockey Tuesday night. Grahm Tauch, Ryan Buonomo and Nico Galardini scored for Upper St. Clair (6-2). Aiden Bobbs made 47 saves for Canon-McMillan (0-8).

Franklin Regional 6, North Hills 2 – Max Rutkoski had a goal and two assists and Liam Copeland added a goal and an assist to lead Franklin Regional (3-2-2) to a Class 2A victory. Joey Casella, Brendan Yohe, Carter Yohe and Marc Gray also scored for FR. Chris Muschar and Jonathan Trosky scored for North Hills (0-9).

North Catholic 4, McDowell 3 – Beckett Dunn’s second goal of the game was the game-winner early in the third period as North Catholic (4-2-1) picked up a Class A win. Emilio Laracuente and Jacob Godon also scored and Nar-Ulan Baiken and Miles Robinson each had two assists for North Hills. Gino Heenan, Jacob Baniewicz and Logan Pierce scored for McDowell (3-4-1).

Ringgold 8, Trinity 0 – Matt Sylvester had two goals and an assist and Landon Vaccaro and Caden Doran also scored two goals apiece to lead Ringgold (2-3-1) past Trinity (1-4) in Varsity D2. Phil Quattrone had a goal and three assists and Collin Moffett had a 16-save shutout.
