As the mercury continues to slide up, taking most of the state out of sub-freezing cold, the top girls basketball teams in the PIAA are also heating up on the hardwood with only two teams falling out of the rankings in the latest Trib HSSN weekly top 5.
Archbishop Carroll was bumped from the top 5 in Class 6A, replaced by undefeated Peters Township.
North Schuylkill dropped out in Class 4A, leaving a spot open for a Scranton Prep team that that picked up a big win last week over 5A-ranked Scranton.
There were no changes at the top of the rankings with Conestoga in 6A, Oakland Catholic in 5A, Lansdale Catholic in 4A, Lancaster Catholic in 3A, Kennedy Catholic in 2A and Union in A all at the top of the hill in their class.
