Brody Takacs hit a walk-off three-run home run to lead Peters Township to a 6-5 victory over Bethel Park in Section 2-5A baseball Monday.

Peters Township (4-6, 2-3) trailed by three runs entering the bottom of the seventh. Zachary Miner delivered an RBI single before Takacs’ game-winning blast.

Michael Bruckner hit a three-run home run in the first inning for Bethel Park (4-4-1, 3-2).

Armstrong 13, Gateway 4 – Logan Badac belted a three-run home run, Brayden Wright doubled twice and drove in two, and Jacob Bowser got the win for Armstrong (4-4, 3-4) in Section 1-5A. Miles Beavin doubled for Gateway (0-8, 0-4). Zach Wiles tripled and drove in a run for the River Hawks.

Avonworth 9, South Allegheny 0 – Alexander Rowe and John Dolan each hit a two-run double and Declan Ehrin singled and drove in a pair of runs as Avonworth (6-5, 2-1) blanked South Allegheny (7-2, 2-1) in Section 2-3A. Aidan Tinker got the win. Hunter Fulmer suffered the loss.

Belle Vernon 2, Laurel Highlands 1 – Lucas Judy threw a complete-game one-hitter with 14 strikeouts and went 3 for 3 with an RBI to lead Belle Vernon (6-1, 3-0) past Laurel Highlands (0-7, 0-4) in Section 2-4A.

Bishop Canevin 15, Cornell 0 – Kyle Olszewski homered, doubled and drove in three, Jackson Maddix doubled and drove in three, and winning pitcher Tyler Maddix struck out eight as Bishop Canevin (3-2, 3-2) blanked Cornell (0-4, 0-3) in Section 3-A. Terrance Collington had the lone hit for the Raiders.

Blackhawk 10, Ambridge 5 – Carter Davis went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Owen Keister doubled and drove in a pair, and Aiden Gill got the win as Blackhawk (2-3, 2-2) bested Ambridge (1-6, 0-5) in Section 1-4A. Nick Thomas doubled for the Bridgers.

Burgettstown 11, Beth-Center 4 – Eric Kovach went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, William Stevenson doubled and drove in a run, and Brodie Kuzior pitched Burgettstown (2-2-1, 2-0) to a Section 1-2A win. Santino Revi doubled and Colton Bane took the loss for Beth-Center (4-5, 2-4).

Carlynton 8, Clairton 4 – Mason Mulligan drove in two runs and Connor Hart got the win as Carlynton (7-4, 5-2) doubled up Clairton (1-4, 0-3) in Section 3-A. Robert Wallace doubled and drove in three for the Bears.

Carmichaels 6, California 0 – Liam Lohr struck out nine in five shutout innings and drove in a run to lead Carmichaels (5-0, 3-0) to a Section 1-A win. Aydan Adamson went 2 for 4 with an RBI and picked up the two-inning save for the Mighty Mikes. Kaden Weston went 2 for 4 for California (2-6, 2-3).

Central Catholic 5, Baldwin 2 – C.J. Proch doubled and drove in two and Gavin Kelly tripled to lead Central Catholic (5-6, 2-5) to a Section 2-6A win. Aiden Robinson singled and drove in two runs for Baldwin (1-9, 0-6). Carson Pettyjohn earned the win and Ryan DeLuca picked up a save.

Central Valley 11, Beaver 1 – Antonio Perri and Jadon Balewski each doubled and knocked in two runs while Zachary McLean struck out 10 as Central Valley (5-3, 4-0) prevailed in a Section 1-4A contest. Ty Butler doubled twice and drove in a run for Beaver (4-7, 0-5).

Charleroi 6, Washington 3 – Daryl Beveridge and Tyler O’Neil each drove in a pair of runs, Jace Pager tripled twice and Kaden Woods fanned 10 as Charleroi (5-3, 3-2) doubled up Washington (4-3, 3-2) in Section 1-2A. Tyler Bainer and Tristan Reed each tripled for the Prexies.

Chartiers Valley 13, McKeesport 0 – Ethan Ridgeway doubled and knocked in three runs and Nate Magilson tripled and doubled to lead Chartiers Valley (3-2, 1-2) to a Section 3-4A victory. Thomas Minnick doubled for McKeesport (0-7, 0-4). Jule Prozzloy got the win.

Chartiers-Houston 12, Bentworth 2 – Jake Perchinsky doubled and drove in three runs and Nico Filosi went 2 for 5 with a pair of RBIs as Chartiers-Houston (3-3, 3-0) defeated Bentworth (0-6, 0-5) in Section 1-2A. Lucas Burt and Ty Watson doubled for the Bearcats. Dominic Cumer got the win for the Bucs.

Connellsville 5, South Fayette 4 – Mason Miller singled in a pair of runs, Kace Shearer doubled and Ethan Porreca picked up the win as Connellsville (5-5, 3-2) survived a late South Fayette (4-2, 3-2) rally for a Section 2-5A win. Ethan Rose knocked in two runs for the Lions. Miller got the save for the Falcons.

Deer Lakes 9, Derry 8 – Ryan Cochran slugged a pair of home runs and knocked in five runs and Lucas Derose doubled as Deer Lakes (3-5, 1-5) held on for a Section 3-3A win over Derry (2-2, 2-1). John Wasnick hit a solo home run and Anthony Sacco was 3 for 4 with two RBIs for the Trojans. Anthony Smith got the win.

Eden Christian 13, Sewickley Academy 1 – Brady Hull went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles, a home run and three RBIs, Carter Cropper doubled and drove in two, and Enzo Natale got the win for Eden Christian (8-1, 7-0) in Section 3-A against Sewickley Academy (2-5, 2-3).

Fort Cherry 14, Avella 4 – Winning pitcher Ryan Huey went 4 for 5 with a home run, three doubles and five RBIs and Nate Wolfe went 3 for 3 as Fort Cherry (5-0, 3-0) routed Avella (5-1, 4-1) in Section 1-A. Brayden Fuller singled and drove in a run for the Eagles.

Franklin Regional 9, Fox Chapel 6 – Winning pitcher Max Bernadowski struck out 10 in four innings and went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored to lead Franklin Regional to a Section 1-5A win. Blake Bertucci had two RBIs and Darren DeRiggi also drove in a run for the Panthers (7-3, 5-0). Antonio LeDonne collected two hits and three RBIs for the Foxes (6-3, 5-2).

Freeport 2, Valley 1 – Michael Hanz hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth to give Freeport (2-5, 2-4) the lead for good in Section 3-3A. Hanz also doubled and Kason Barker singled and drove in a run for the Yellowjackets. Dom Dunkel drove in the only run for Valley (5-3, 3-2). Matt Corfield got the win for Freeport.

Greensburg Central Catholic 3, Brentwood 1 – Ethan Brody pitched an eight-inning complete game, giving up four hits, and Grant Miller had the go-ahead hit in the top of the eighth to lead Greensburg Central Catholic (4-1, 3-0) past Brentwood (1-5, 0-5) in Section 3-2A. Tyler Samide had three hits, including the game-tying RBI single in the seventh. Anthony Grippo had two hits and an RBI.

Greensburg Salem 5, McGuffey 4 – After McGuffey (2-3, 2-2) scored four in the top of the seventh to tie the game, Keegan Young hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the inning to give Greensburg Salem (2-3, 2-2) a Section 4-3A win. Young and Tyler Davis each had two RBIs and Tyler Martin got the win.

Highlands 8, Kiski Area 5 – Carson McGraw had three hits, including a double, Boyd Brown collected two hits, and Carson Goldberg doubled to help Highlands (2-7, 1-3) to a Section 4-4A win. John DeLuca had three hits and Jake Smith doubled for Kiski Area (5-4, 2-3).

Indiana 6, Hampton 4 – Ben Ryan was 3 for 4 with an RBI and Andrew McGee brought home a run as Greg Minnick pitched Indiana (5-2, 3-1) to a Section 4-4A win. Matthew Erka hit a two-run single for Hampton (4-3, 2-3). Ben Ryan got the save for the Little Indians.

Jeannette 11, Apollo-Ridge 1 – Nick Rattigan doubled and knocked in three runs, winning pitcher Brayden Luttner drove in two and Jayden Kennedy had an RBI as Jeannette (5-1, 3-0) beat Apollo-Ridge (0-7, 0-6) in Section 3-2A.

Latrobe 8, Albert Gallatin 1 – Mason Leonard had three hits, Riley Smith had two hits and two RBIs, and Brody Rumon singled and doubled to lead Latrobe (7-1, 4-0) past Albert Gallatin (2-6, 2-1) in Section 2-4A.

Leechburg 10, St. Joseph 0 – Mason Bertino went 3 for 4 with four RBIs, Jaxson Vargo doubled and drove in three, Rocco Vigna doubled and knocked in a pair, and Steven Senjan fanned 10 as Leechburg (3-4, 2-2) shut out St. Joseph (1-4, 1-2) in Section 2-A. Gabe Maltese singled for the Spartans.

Mars 9, New Castle 4 – Jacob Maple went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs and winning pitcher Charles Bickel knocked in a pair of runs to lead Mars (5-2, 3-2) to a Section 3-5A win. Malik Jefferson slashed two doubles and J.T. Warren also doubled for New Castle (0-10, 0-6).

Mohawk 6, Ellwood City 1 – Keigan Hopper doubled and drove in two, A.J. Verdi knocked in a pair of runs and winning pitcher Vinny Pezzuolo went 2 for 4 for Mohawk (7-1, 5-0) in a Section 1-3A victory. Joe Roth doubled for Ellwood City (3-5, 1-5).

Montour 7, Hopewell 2 – Maddox Tarquinio exploded for three home runs and four RBIs and Jake Robinson hit a solo home run as Montour (8-1, 5-0) beat Hopewell (6-4, 3-2) in Section 1-4A. Lucas Walton hit an RBI double for the Vikings. Matteo Weber got the win.

Mt. Lebanon 4, Norwin 1 – Jake Tinnemeyer belted a two-run home run, Graham Keen got the win, and Nolan Smith picked up a save as Mt. Lebanon (8-3, 5-2) defeated Norwin (5-5, 3-3) in Section 2-6A. Nate Silberman went 2 for 3 with an RBI for the Knights.

Mt. Pleasant 5, Brownsville 2 – Luke Nicotera clubbed a two-run homer and winning pitcher Jacob Kitz struck out 10 as Mt. Pleasant (5-4, 3-1) defeated Brownsville (0-6, 0-6) in Section 4-3A. Jonathan Vasbinder doubled and singled for the Falcons. Connor Drzal doubled and drove in a run for the Vikings.

Neshannock 21, Beaver Falls 1 – Boyd Kurutz went 3 for 3 with a triple and four RBIs while Hunter Wilson and Jake Rynd each doubled and drove in three as Neshannock (4-4, 3-2) trounced Beaver Falls (0-5, 0-5) in Section 1-3A. Dominic Kubellis got the win for the Lancers.

New Brighton 15, Northgate 0 – Dom Pasquale drove in three runs, Matt Steele doubled and brought home two and winning pitcher Jaxson Zahn allowed one hit in three innings as New Brighton (3-3, 1-3) shut out Northgate (0-6, 0-3) in Section 2-2A. Anthony Barron singled for the Flames.

North Allegheny 14, Allderdice 4 – Matthew Parreaguirre went 2 for 4 with a double and five RBIs, Michael Hershberger doubled twice and knocked in a pair, and Nate Persinger got the win as North Allegheny (7-0, 4-0) defeated Allderdice (1-6, 0-5) in Section 1-6A. Alex Schafer and Lukas Stead hit a double apiece for the Dragons.

North Catholic 14, Knoch 4 – Josef Safar homered, tripled and drove in four runs and Tommy Koroly went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs as North Catholic (4-2, 4-1) poured on 10 runs in the sixth to come away with a Section 4-4A win. Aidan Jones had an RBI for Knoch (2-5, 1-3).

North Hills 14, Moon 7 – Sam Henc went 2 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs, Logan Hunt doubled and drove in three, and Tristan Weimann doubled and knocked in a pair to lead North Hills (6-2-1, 4-1) to a Section 3-5A. Andrew Cross doubled twice and drove in two runs for Moon (3-6, 1-4). Connor Davis got the win for North Hills.

Penn-Trafford 3, Butler 2 – Brody Hoffman hit a walk-off single in the ninth to lift Penn-Trafford (8-1) over Butler (3-7) in nonsection play. Chuck Fontana also drove in a run and Hunter Brown got the win for the Warriors. Liam McElroy doubled and knocked in a run for the Golden Tornado.

Pine-Richland 3, Seneca Valley 2 – Sam Heckert slashed a two-run double, Tanner Cunningham singled and drove in a run, and Keegan Diehl got the win as Pine-Richland (8-2, 4-1) beat Seneca Valley (5-2-1, 3-1) in Section 1-6A. Kallen Durbin doubled for the Raiders. Tristan Farrar got the save for the Rams.

Plum 12, Penn Hills 2 – Sean Franzi clubbed a three-run double, Ryan Lafferty knocked in a pair, and winning pitcher Colin Watson doubled and drove in a run for Plum (5-4, 3-2) in a Section 1-5A win. Isaiah Mitchell tripled and finished with two RBIs for Penn Hills (0-7, 0-7).

Riverview 5, Shady Side Academy 4 – Rece Stempfer singled and scored on an error in the eighth as Riverview (6-2) bested Shady Side Academy (4-3) in nonsection play. Johnny Bertucci doubled and drove in a run and Stempfer had an RBI while Lukas Duncan got the win for the Raiders. Matt Long doubled and drove in three runs for the Bulldogs.

Serra Catholic 11, Ligonier Valley 0 – Collin Holmes doubled and drove in two runs, Max Black drove in a run with a double of his own and Jake Holmes went 3 for 3 with an RBI in a Section 3-2A win for Serra Catholic (8-0, 5-0). Gavin Moore and Tyler Smith each had a hit for Ligonier Valley (3-4, 2-3).

Seton LaSalle 9, Laurel 2 – Gio LoNero went 3 for 3 with a triple and four RBIs, Aric White doubled, and Mark Weber picked up the win for Seton LaSalle (6-1, 5-0) in a Section 2-2A matchup. Luca Santini went 2 for 4 with an RBI for Laurel (3-3, 2-3).

Shaler 12, West Allegheny 0 – Brady McGuire tripled, doubled and finished with five RBIs, Max Saban doubled and drove in a pair, and Colby Weber got the win for Shaler (9-1, 5-1) in Section 3-5A. Ben Kern went 1 for 2 for West Allegheny (5-2, 3-2).

Shenango 13, Quaker Valley 3 – Jason Malley doubled and finished with five RBIs and Sam Patton doubled twice and drove in three to lead Shenango (4-4, 3-2) to a Section 1-3A win. Nick Allan doubled for Quaker Valley (3-5, 2-4). Joey Campoli got the win for the Wildcats.

South Park 17, Keystone Oaks 12 – Dan Pepke hit a home run and drove in four runs, J.P. Tusai went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double and three RBIs, and Zach Ludwig homered twice and doubled to drive in five runs as South Park (4-3, 2-1) outslugged Keystone Oaks (4-4, 4-1) in Section 2-3A. Ethan Shartle and Jake LaPorte each doubled and drove in a run for the Golden Eagles.

South Side 3, OLSH 1 – Winning pitcher Carter Wilson allowed one unearned run on two hits and struck out 13 to lead South Side (4-3, 3-3) to a Section 2-2A win. Casey Lewis drove in a run for the Rams. Quinn Santelli fanned seven for OLSH (5-4, 4-1).

Springdale 6, Rochester 2 – Winning pitcher John Hughes struck out 11 in four innings and Justin Schurr got the save as Springdale (2-1, 2-0) beat Rochester (1-5, 1-4) in Section 2-A. Hughes went 3 for 4 at the plate with a double and Luke Bramson drove in a pair of runs for the Dynamos.

Thomas Jefferson 4, Elizabeth Forward 3 – Brady McGough hit the go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth to lift Thomas Jefferson (10-0, 4-0) to a Section 3-4A win. Luke Kosko doubled and Dominci Metz got the win for the Jaguars. Cy Herchelroath and Jacob Peterson each doubled for Elizabeth Forward (5-3, 2-3).

Trinity 4, Upper St. Clair 3 – Karson Hathaway went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs and Kaden Hathaway doubled as Trinity (4-3, 3-2) beat Upper St. Clair (3-7, 1-4) in Section 2-5A. Nico D’Orazio went 2 for 3 with a double for the Panthers. J.R. Rieg got the win for the Hillers.

Uniontown 2, Ringgold 1 – Winning pitcher Tate Nusko fanned 16 and Wyatt Nehls smashed a two-run home run to lead Uniontown (2-4, 1-2) to a Section 2-4A win. Eddie Frizzell took the loss for Ringgold (2-5, 0-3).

West Greene 7, Jefferson-Morgan 4 – Lane Allison and Colin Brady each hit a two-run single to provide run support for winning pitcher Hayden Hamilton for West Greene (3-2, 3-2) in a Section 1-A matchup. Brenton Barnhart doubled for Jefferson-Morgan (2-5, 0-5). Allison got the save for the Pioneers.

West Mifflin 14, Woodland Hills 0 – Aidan Munsie doubled, homered and drove in two runs and Braeden Andzelik tripled and had an RBI as West Mifflin (10-1, 5-0) rolled to a Section 3-4A win over Woodland Hills (0-5, 0-3). Zane Griffaton didn’t allow a hit in the three-inning shutout for the Titans.

Western Beaver 30, Summit Academy 0 – Christian Stefankis went 3 for 4 with a double and five RBIs, Ethan Wilson finished with six RBIs, and Vinny Ross got the win as Western Beaver (3-2, 3-0) cruised to a Section 2-A win over Summit Academy (0-3, 0-3).

Armstrong 24, Kiski Area 0 – Jessica Pugh went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a home run and seven RBIs, Emma Paul and Shelby Cloak also homered and Abigail Bauer hit two doubles for Armstrong (6-1, 3-1) in a Section 2-5A win over Kiski Area (0-7, 0-3).

Avonworth 5, Shady Side Academy 0 – Layne Shinsky went 3 for 3 with a double, triple and four RBIs and Emma Obersteiner and Rylee Gray each doubled for Avonworth (3-3, 1-1) in a Section 1-3A win. Mya Kearns singled for Shady Side Academy (1-3, 1-3). Sydney Savatt threw a three inning one-hit shutout for the Antelopes.

Beth-Center 10, Washington 3 – Kendall Welsh hit two doubles for Beth-Center (2-0, 2-0) in a Section 3-2A win. Faith Partozoti and Teyler Barnes each doubled for Washington (1-5, 1-4).

Brentwood 22, Ellis School 0 – Mia March had a triple, home run and five RBIs, Izabella Fedunok hit two doubles and Paige Boehm and Delaney Rosing each doubled for Brentwood (2-4, 1-3) in a Section 2-2A win. Elyse Brennan singled for Ellis (0-2, 0-2).

Carlynton 15, Sto-Rox 0 – Kyla Morris threw a three-inning no-hitter and Abbey Tomaszewski hit two doubles and drove in four runs for Carlynton (3-2) in a nonsection win over Sto-Rox (0-1).

Connellsville 16, Peters Township 1 – Kirra Davis and Cali Leichliter each hit a home run, Riley Dreves tripled and Iris Burd hit two doubles to lead Connellsville (6-3, 2-1) to a Section 4-5A win. Elena Tylka hit a triple for Peters Township (4-5, 1-2).

Elizabeth Forward 15, Ringgold 0 – Shelby Telegdy struck out 15 and went 4 for 4, Addy Nigut and Alivia Grimm each homered, and Julia Johnson hit two doubles for Elizabeth Forward (6-0, 4-0) in a Section 2-4A win. Cassidy Kunkel doubled for Ringgold (0-5, 0-3)

Greensburg Central Catholic 15, Steel Valley 7 – Grace Kindel went 4 for 4 with two doubles and four RBIs to lead Greensburg Central Catholic (2-1, 2-1) to a Section 2-2A win. Hopewell 13, Quaker Valley 1 – Ava Compton and Tallulah Showrank hit a double apiece and Victoria Mann had three hits to lead Hopewell (4-5, 1-2) to a Section 2-3A win. Isabella Jarrett doubled for Quaker Valley (2-4, 0-3).

Laurel 10, Riverside 0 – Addie Deal struck out eight and went 2 for 2 with two doubles and two RBIs and Ivy Pancher, Macey Miller and Riley Balcolm each doubled to lead Laurel (4-2, 2-0) to a Section 1-2A win over Riverside (2-2, 2-1).

McGuffey 10, Keystone Oaks 2 – Katie Grimm, Mackenzie Shrader and Nicole Klages hit a double apiece and McKenna Crothers had three hits for McGuffey (5-2, 2-1) in a Section 4-3A win. Kylie Stahl tripled for Keystone Oaks (2-4, 0-3).

Mohawk 15, Beaver Falls 0 – Mylie Pistorius hit a triple and Alivia Hare, Maya McGreal and Aricka Young had two hits apiece to lead Mohawk (7-1, 3-0) to a Section 2-3A win over Beaver Falls (2-3, 1-2).

Neshannock 15, New Brighton 0 – Abigail Measel threw a three-inning no-hitter and went 3 for 3 with a double and four RBIs and Gabby Quinn homered for Neshannock (5-0, 3-0) in a Section 1-2A win over New Brighton (1-5, 0-3).

New Castle 11, Moon 7 – Olivia Hood went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs, Gabby Mangieri doubled and Keara Mangieri had three hits to lead New Castle (2-4, 1-3) to a Section 3-5A win. Sydney Ray homered and Kendall Chambers hit two doubles for Moon (1-6, 1-2).

North Allegheny 6, Mt. Lebanon 2 – Anne Melle doubled and Julia Drazga had two RBIs to lead North Allegheny (3-1, 3-1) to a Section 1-6A win. Emily Morgan hit a two-run homer for Mt. Lebanon (1-7, 1-5).

North Catholic 12, Beaver 2 – Alanna McEnaney went 3 for 3 with three home runs and five RBIs, Natalia Rushak went 3 for 3 with two home runs and four RBIs, and Liliana Koller also homered to lead North Catholic (5-1, 2-1) to a Section 3-4A win. Sami Springman doubled and drove in a run for Beaver (1-5, 0-2).

North Hills 16, Oakland Catholic 0 – Abigail Sutton struck out six in three innings and hit a double at the plate for North Hills (6-2, 3-1) in a Section 1-5A win. Amanda Bendel singled for Oakland Catholic (1-4, 0-3). Makenzie Roskwitalski doubled and drove in a pair for the Indians.

OLSH 13, Burgettstown 3 – Morgan O’Brien went 3 for 4 with two doubles and five RBIs and Camryn Hummel, Lilli Wamsley and Olivia DiGiacomo each hit a double to lead OLSH (5-2, 3-0) to a Section 3-2A win. Raya Sentipal hit two doubles for Burgettstown (2-6, 1-3).

Plum 2, Fox Chapel 1 – Riley Stephans struck out nine and Jaiden Gentile and Liana Yusko each doubled to lead Plum (5-3, 2-2) past Fox Chapel (3-4, 2-2) in a Section 1-5A win.

Rochester 21, Cornell 5 – Reese Riorden had a double, home run and five RBIs and Ashley Schidemantle and Hannah Pittman each homered for Rochester (3-2, 2-1) in a Section 1-A win over Cornell (0-5, 0-4). Madi Henry went 3 for 3 with a double, triple and four RBIs for the Rams.

Seneca Valley 1, Butler 0 – Neve Miller scored an unearned run in the third inning and Lexie Hames threw a one-hit shutout and struck out 18 in a Section 1-6A victory for for Seneca Valley (9-0, 6-0). Madison Wolfe singled for Butler (2-4, 1-4).

Serra Catholic 11, Apollo-Ridge 7 – Johanna Domek went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, Bailee Dayton singled, doubled and plated three, and Kelly Morrissey singled twice and doubled for Serra Catholic (4-1, 3-0) in a Section 2-2A win. Madison Butler had two doubles, a home run and four RBIs and Camdyn Kowalczyk went 4 for 4 with three doubles for Apollo-Ridge (2-3, 2-1).

Shaler 15, Penn Hills 0 – Taylor London threw a one-hit shutout and struck out nine in four innings and Emily Spears went 3 for 3 with two doubles and four RBIs to lead Shaler (7-0, 4-0) to a Section 1-5A win over Penn Hills (2-3, 0-3).

Shenango 11, Freedom 1 – Emma Herb went 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs while winning pitcher Kennedi Lynn fanned 12 in five innings as Shenango (2-4, 2-1) defeated Freedom (0-4, 0-3) in Section 1-2A. Hayden Baucan singled for the Bulldogs.

South Fayette 4, Western Beaver 2 – Winning pitcher Emma Earley smashed a solo home run in the top of the sixth to break a 2-2 tie as South Fayette (5-1, 3-1) beat Western Beaver (2-2, 1-2) in Section 3-5A. Stephanie Binek went 3 for 4 with a double and a pair of RBIs for the Lions. Emma Bogacki struck out 16 and hit a solo home run for the Golden Beavers.

South Park 6, Brownsville 0 – Sydney Sekely struck out 19 and gave up only two hits to lead South Park (7-1, 4-0) to a Section 4-3A win over Brownsville (2-4, 1-2). Kaitlyn Polk homered and Grace Kempton drove in two runs for the Eagles.

South Side 15, Northgate 5 – Alison DeLong, Halina Matijevich and Maya Ringhoff each doubled to lead South Side (4-2, 3-0) to a Section 1-A win. Cassandra Tadda doubled and had two RBIs for Northgate (0-4, 0-2).

Southmoreland 10, Derry 0 – Amarah McCuthcheon hit a single, double and had three RBIs and Brooke McBeth tripled for Southmoreland (8-0, 3-0) in a Section 3-3A win. Bailey Legge doubled for Derry (2-5, 0-2).

West Mifflin 13, Highlands 2 – Rylie Dobnak struck out 10 and went 2 for 2 with a double and three RBIs for West Mifflin (5-4, 2-2) in a Section 1-4A win. Jocelyn Scardina hit a triple and home run for Highlands (0-6, 0-3). Kaleigh Tatters tripled and Adilee Salopek, Caleigh Ignat and Samantha Tomko hit a double apiece for the Titans.

Yough 2, South Allegheny 1 – Kylee Fisher went 3 for 3 and Makenzie Spoonhoward and Payton Jenkins each singled to lead Yough (3-1, 2-1) past South Allegheny (2-4, 0-2) in a Section 3-3A win.

Boys volleyball

Derry 3, Ambridge 1 – Mason Beeman had 19 kills and Noah Berkhimer and Cam McNichol added 16 kills and 22 assists each to lead Derry to a nonsection win. Game scores were 25-14, 23-25, 25-23. 25-18. Johnathan Shumaker had 12 digs and Duke Klapchar added 10 digs and four aces.

North Catholic 3, Seton LaSalle 2 – Lucas Gunther had 18 kills and Drew Palmer added 16 kills as North Catholic (6-1) came from two sets down to reverse sweep Seton LaSalle (4-6) in nonsection play.

Girls lacrosse

Chartiers Valley 15, Quaker Valley 5 – Mai LaGamba and Megan Witte scored five goals apiece, Juliana Betts scored a hat trick and Ava Warzinski scored two goals and had seven assists as Chartiers Valley (4-2, 3-1) defeated Quaker Valley (2-4, 2-3) in Section 2-2A. Lucy Roig recorded a hat trick for the Quakers.

Penn-Trafford 12, Hampton 6 — Sophia Green scored three goals and Georgia Vislocky, Avery Bosack and Ayla Moffa added two each to lead Penn-Traford to a Section 1-2A win.

Pine-Richland 17, Shaler 5 – Cate Gentille scored six goals, Mallory Boivan added four goals and Kendyll Jerry had two goals and three assists to lead Pine-Richland (7-1, 4-0) to a Section 2-3A win over Shady Side (4-2, 4-2). Madeline Mill and Claire Mill each added two goals for the Rams.
