Chartiers-Houston had another successful campaign last season in their first year of AA competition, finishing 19-2 and making it to the WPIAL Semifinals.  However, with over half of last year’s starters are not in the lineup this season as a young Buccaneers team looks to improve and learn quickly as they compete for a playoff spot in a competitive Class AA Section 2.

The Lady Bucs will lean heavily on their returning starters as they try to draw on past WPIAL successes to pass on to their younger teammates.  The returning starters will be Haley Sutton who is a four year starter, Kassie Kesneck who has made the move from centerfield to the mound, and Megan Kraushaar and Sabrina Stankus who both will anchor the left side of the infield.  Returning in the outfield will be junior Jessica Blumen.

The Bucs will unfortunately be without Casey Craig who was a two year starter and lost to injury for the season, but who is providing great leadership.

The Bucs will also look toward these players to challenge for starting positions and to provide roster depth.  They are as follows: seniors Christine Walsh and Jennifer Lucas;  juniors Jalynn Myers and Lisa Hornak;  sophomore Jessica Southern; freshmen Kayla Alderson, Brittany Blumen, Kayla Elliott, and Macie Kesneck.
