After ranking the top ten teams in each classification during the regular season, the MSA Sports Network SEEDS the 2011 WPIAL boys basketball playoff field. Seeding teams is different then ranking teams because the WPIAL avoids Preliminary and First Round matchups between teams in the same section. Thus the seedings don’t equate into true rankings. Here is how we seed them using the districts playoff criteria of 16 vs 1, 15 vs 2 etc.
