Hempfield and Riverside Take Titles in 2011 WPIAL Boys Track & Field Team Championships

After a year as runner-up, Riverside is back on top of the WPIAL Class AA Boys Team Track & Field hill. The Panthers beat out Washington, South Fayette and Freedom Thursday afternoon at West Mifflin High School to win a fourth WPIAL championship in the last five years. Meanwhile, Hempfield edged North Allegheny, Mount Lebanon and Baldwin to win the Class AAA title. It's the Spartans first district boys team track and field championship in 24 years.
