2017 PIAA Football Playoffs – Road to Hershey Results

For only the fourth time in the 30 years of the PIAA Football Playoffs,  the WPIAL has three teams crowned as state champions. WPIAL teams won PIAA championships in three of the four classifications in 2001 (West Allegheny, Washington, Rochester), in 2005 (McKeesport, Franklin Regional, South Park) and in 2007 (Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Thomas Jefferson, Jeannette). Then last year in the first season with six classifications, Beaver Falls and Steel Valley earned state crowns. This past weekend in Hershey, Pine-Richland in 6-A and Quaker Valley in 3-A won their schools first PIAA football titles while Jeannette duplicated what they did ten years earlier in winning PIAA gold. Here are ALL of the results from the 2017 PIAA Football Playoffs.
