WPIAL board approves Imani Christian eligibility requests

The WPIAL Board of Directors announced Tuesday that is has scheduled two hearings for Nov. 1.
The first hearing at 3 p.m. is with Imani Christian Academy officials to discuss why the school has failed to submit transfer/waiver paperwork in a timely fashion.
The WPIAL approved five transfer eligibility requests of Imani football players Monday, four in regards to paperwork that should have been submitted prior to the school year. The players included Joshua Davis, Talik Johnson, Israel Reed and Jace Robinson.
A fifth student, Juaron Thompson, was approved after Bishop Canevin signed off on his transfer. Thompson was on the Montour football roster for the 2016 season before transferring to Bishop Canevin after the school year. Thompson was approved in the May/June meeting by the WPIAL.
The second hearing at 4 p.m. is with officials from Aliquippa and Beaver Falls about an incident that stopped a recent girls volleyball match before it concluded.
