It’s official.
August 1 is the date that college football programs can send written scholarship offers to seniors, replacing the verbal offers made by coaches weeks or months earlier.
A number of WPIAL recruits, some already committed, began sharing their official offers Wednesday on Twitter.
Recruits can’t officially sign for a few more months. The early signing period is Dec. 19-21. The traditional signing day is Feb. 6.
