The turn-around from the First Round to the Quarterfinals was a quick one for all but one WPIAL baseball playoff team. 63 teams cut to 32 on Monday, then 32 shrunk to 16 48 hours later. But now the Final Four is set in each classification with the Semifinals set for next week. Here are the FINAL WPIAL baseball standings for the 2013 season. The standings will be updated daily throughout the regular season...including the FINAL WPIAL playoff clinchings with 64 teams postseason bound. The 2013 WPIAL Baseball Playoffs opened Saturday afternoon with one lone Preliminary Round contest. With the Class AAA 16th-seed decide, the stage is now set for a very busy First Round in all four classifications on Monday. Seneca Valley in Class AAAA, Blackhawk in Class AAA and Ellwood City in Class AA are all ready to defend their WPIAL baseball titles. One thing we know even before section play begins is there will be a new champion crowned in Class A.
