Saturdays Scholastic Starz – 09/25/2011
The final Saturday of September in the 2011 high school football season saw two Class AA and three Class A conference tilts. Every Friday night that is filled with high school football action is special…but this Friday night seemed to stand out for several reasons. Each classification was lined up with big showdown games that had folks calling it Separation Friday in the WPIAL. Plus a 12-year old record fell as one of the area’s best running backs ever took his place in history and in the record books.

Week Four WPIAL and Pittsburgh City League Saturday Football Scores
Not all of the big games from Week Four were played on Friday night. Five more WPIAL games were slated for Saturday including a battle of unbeaten teams in Class AA, a district team trying to halt a near record losing streak and a battle for a share of first place in Class A.
