Herald spotlight athlete: Fox Chapel’s Zack Yonas

Zack Yonas, a junior at Fox Chapel, scored eight goals in a WPIAL first-round boys lacrosse playoff win. He is also on the soccer team and plays on the Special Olympics bocce ball team at FC. He hopes to play lacrosse in college, where he plans to major in business or finance.

If you could trade places with anybody for a day, who would you choose?

Sidney Crosby.

What sport would you be playing if not lacrosse or soccer?

Probably basketball.

What drew you to becoming a lacrosse player?

All my friends played so I gave it a try.

What three words best describe you?

Humorous, people-person, hard-working.

What's your favorite vacation destination?

Bethany Beach, Del.

What's your favorite TV show?

“Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Who would be your dream date?

Either Margot Robbie or Zendaya.

What three people would you like to have dinner with?

My dad's mother, his grandfather and Barack Obama.

What movie could you watch over and over?

“Superbad.”

Where would you like to go that you've never been before?

Italy.

What do you do to get ready before a game?

I just play video games, mostly Fortnight, to calm down.

What three items have to be in your refrigerator?

Chicken, chocolate milk and sriracha sauce.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

The Kardashians.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

Beets.
