Aiden Reesman scored 20 points as Class 5A No. 1 Moon defeated Class 6A No. 1 Mt. Lebanon, 55-51, on Monday night in a matchup of top seeds in the WPIAL boys basketball playoffs.
Elijah Guillory added 17 for the Tigers (19-3). Liam Sheely scored 21 points and Nate Girod added 10 for Mt. Lebanon (18-4).
Canon-McMillan 73, Connellsville 63 – Eamon O’Donoghue scored 19 points, Evan Morris had 12, Roman Koenemund added 11 and Ben Peterson had 10 to lead Canon-McMillan (10-12) to a nonsection win. Anthony Plasecki scored 17 points and Kace Shearer and Bruce Giles had 10 points apiece for Connellsville (2-20).
Carlynton 41, Bishop Canevin 40 – Devonte Dean scored 11 points as Carlynton (7-14) edged out Bishop Canevin (12-10) in nonsection play.
Central Catholic 62, North Catholic 54 – Vernon Settles, Payton Wagner and Enzo Khalil scored 15 points apiece to lead Central Catholic (14-8) to a nonsection win. Max Hurray scored 18 points and Jude Rottmann had 12 for North Catholic (13-8).
Central Valley 76, Beaver Falls 37 – Isaiah Jeter scored 36 points to break the Central Valley (14-8) single-game scoring record in a nonsection win. Marshall Clerici scored 12 points for Beaver Falls (7-14).
Cheswick Christian Academy 63, St. Joseph 49 – Grant Rochkind recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, Brady Rochkind put up 17 points and Sean Louis added 10 for Cheswick Christian (17-3) in a nonsection win. Gabe Maltese and Cole Spencer scored 14 points apiece and Charlie Ross followed with 12 for St. Joseph (3-19).
Fort Cherry 89, South Side 60 – Shane Cornali scored 25 points, AJ Tarolli had 21 and Evan Rogers added 12 for Fort Cherry (17-5) in a nonsection win. Brody Almashy scored 15 points and Andrew Corfield and Carter Wilson scored 12 apiece for South Side (8-14).
Franklin Regional 63, Norwin 38 – Cam Rowell scored 17 points and Colin Masten added 15 for Franklin Regional (20-2) in a nonsection win. Mario Czukas finished with nine points for Norwin (8-13).
Freeport 74, Eden Christian 66 – Brady Sullivan scored 21 points to lead Freeport (7-14) to a nonsection victory. Nathan Garrett led Eden Christian (11-10) with 27 points.
Jeannette 70, Monessen 62 – Jayce Powell scored 19 points, Markus McGowan added 13, Noah Sanders followed with 12 and Isaiah Mallich had 10 for Jeannette (14-7) in a nonsection win. Lorenzo Gardner led all scorers with 24 points and Devontae Robinson tallied 14 for Monessen (17-5).
Kiski Area 65, Highlands 58 – Isaiah Gonzalez scored 22 points and Colin Keller added 14 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Kiski Area (15-7) to a nonsection win. Carson Heinle added 11 for the Cavaliers. Jordyn Tavarez scored 18 points, Cam Reigard added 17 and Tommy Callender had 12 for Highlands (14-8), which played without Bradyn Foster.
Neshannock 75, Laurel 43 – Jake Rynd scored 18 points, David Kwiat had 15 and Talan Anderton added 10 for Neshannock (18-3) in a nonsection win. Jayden Iorio scored 14 points for Laurel (2-20).
North Allegheny 71, Bethel Park 60 – Ty Iwanokiw led all scorers with 28 points, Joey Dopirak followed with 21 and Paul Rubish had 10 for North Allegheny (11-12) in a nonsection defeat of Bethel Park (11-11). Nick Brown finished with 17 points, Shawn Davis chipped in 12 and Tanner Pfeufffer followed with 11 for the Black Hawks.
North Hills 70, Pine-Richland 48 – Eric James dropped 20 points, Zach Pollard added 18 and Nathan Schonbacher finished with 15 to lead North Hills (12-9) to a nonsection win. Eli Catalano led Pine-Richland (7-15) with 10 points.
OLSH 71, Rochester 49 – Greg Mineard scored 27 points, Vann Kavals had 12 and Jake Johnson added 10 to lead OLSH (18-4) to a nonsection win. Jaydin Norman and Xavier Rigby scored 12 points apiece for Rochester (15-6).
Penn Hills 78, West Mifflin 62 – Brice Peeler scored 15 points, Cam Glenn followed with 14 and Calix Clark added 10 to lead Penn Hills (14-7) to a nonsection win. Aaron Smith scored 14 points and Braeden Walker and Daven Reynolds had 12 points apiece for West Mifflin (10-11).
Peters Township 69, Baldwin 56 – Nate Miller, Mickey Vaccarello and Jack Dunbar each scored 12 points and Nick McCullough added 10 as Peters Township (17-5) used a balanced attack to defeat Baldwin (16-6) in nonsection play. Matthew Schenk produced 13 points and Max Marzina had 10 for the Highlanders.
Plum 55, Burrell 44 – Owen Proskin scored 15 points, Max Grice added 14 and Will Beckner chipped in 12 as Plum (8-14) wrapped up its season with a nonsection win over Burrell (13-6). Macky Bennis had 24 for the Bucs.
Propel Andrew Street 67, Calvary Christian 19 – Darryl McCullough scored 21 points and Trayvon Walker and Kyjere Sims each added 12 to lead Propel Andrew Street. Caleb Bevans led Calvary Christian with seven.
Quaker Valley 60, Shenango 56 – Zach Washington scored 26 points and Joe Coyle followed with 18 for Quaker Valley (11-11) in a nonsection win over Shenango (12-10).
Shady Side Academy 62, Knoch 58 – Eli Teslovich put up 24 points and Ryan Frolich sank six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to carry Shady Side Academy (15-7) past Knoch (14-7) in nonsection play. Jackson Bauman dropped 24 points and Zane Pacek added 10 for the Knights.
South Fayette 85, Seton LaSalle 66 – Gavin Orosz sank five 3-pointers and posted 28 points, Michael Plasko followed with 22 points and Gino Satira had 19 as South Fayette (14-8) bested Seton LaSalle (16-6) in nonsection play. Hayden Merchant finished with 22 points, Nick Sikorski added 12 and Patrick Weldon tallied 11 points for the Rebels.
Thomas Jefferson 99, Belle Vernon 90 – Noah Prosser put up 23 points, Brody Evans added 19, and each sank five 3-pointers for Thomas Jefferson (18-3) in a nonsection victory. Nicholas Trklja added 21 points, Evan Berger had 14 and Joe Mendyk netted 10 for the Jaguars. Zion Moore buried seven 3s and led all scorers with 38 points, Trevor Kovatch drained four 3-pointers and finished with 25 points, and Alonzo Wade had 10 for Belle Vernon (12-8).
Trinity 74, Beaver 72 – Jonah Williamson hit five 3-pointers on the way to scoring 28 points and Jacob Dunkle added 27 to lead Trinity (10-12) to a nonsection win. Brady Mayo sank seven 3-pointers and scored 35 points for Beaver (12-10). Ty Butler added 15.
Trinity Christian 67, Propel Montour 55 – Will Nelson led all scorers with 33 points, David Blackburn chipped in 14 and Danile Kyte produced 10 for Trinity Christian (7-12). Jaiden Williams put up 15 and Christopher Harris had 10 for Propel Montour (4-16).
Upper St. Clair 65, Northgate 55 – Tyler Robbins scored 21 points, Peja Strobl followed with 20 and Christian Ito chipped in 12 for Upper St. Clair (17-5) in a nonsection win. Josh Williams scored 12 and Rob McKinley and Ty Daniels each added 10 for Northgate (16-5).
West Greene 40, Bentworth 29 – Lane Allison scored 17 points, hitting 1,000 for his career, and Patrick Durbin and Parker Burns added 10 points apiece for West Greene (15-7) in a nonsection win. Chris Harper scored 12 points for Bentworth (4-17).

Armstrong 59, Gateway 28 – Emma Paul hit four 3-pointers and scored 22 points, Kali Allensworth followed with 11 points and Kyla Fitzgerald had 10 for Armstrong (18-4) in a nonsection win. Anayla Jordan led Gateway (2-20) with seven points.
Bethel Park 68, South Park 31 – Julia Benlock led with 15 points, Ella Harmon followed with 14, Ella Sabatos had 13 and Becky Gillenberger added 12 for Bethel Park (10-12) in a nonsection win. Hayley Bennett scored nine points for South Park (15-7).
Butler 46, Karns City 36 – Amelia McMichael led all scorers with 16 points as Butler (7-15) beat Karns City in a nonsection matchup. Hannah Daily scored 14 points for Karns City.
Canon-McMillan 51, Fox Chapel 46 – Nadia Davis scored 17 points and Madison Clair tallied 11 as Canon-McMillan (12-10) prevailed over Fox Chapel (6-16) in a nonsection matchup. Natalie Schaeffer put up 11 and Bella Urso added 10 for the Foxes.
Central Valley 56, Chartiers-Houston 40 – Nyah Hayes put up 27 points and Lily Seese produced 15 as Central Valley (11-10) beat Chartiers-Houston (16-6) in nonsection play. Ava Capazzoli paced the Buccaneers with 16 points.
Chartiers Valley 58, Plum 44 – Led by 23 points from Emma Reynolds and 15 from Lilah Turnbull, Chartiers Valley (15-6) picked up a nonsection win. Megan Marston scored 17 and Tamia West added 11 for Plum (13-9).
Clairton 61, West Mifflin 51 – Iyanna Wade put up 44 points to lead Clairton (17-4) to a nonsection win over West Mifflin (10-9). Nerual Parms scored 20 points and Kendall Lee chipped in with 12 for the Titans.
Connellsville 45, Southmoreland 16 – Whitney Bobish scored 10 points for Connellsville (5-16) in a nonsection win over Southmoreland (3-19). Gianna Perbonish scored six for the Scotties.
Elizabeth Forward 64, Baldwin 45 – Alyssa Terza scored 22 points, Michelle Jillison had 16, and Katelynn Settles added 13 to lead Elizabeth Forward (20-2) to a nonsection win over Baldwin (9-13).
Geibel 62, Frazier 48 – Emma Larkin led all scorers with 36 points, boosting Geibel (16-6) past Frazier (5-17) in nonsection play. Gabriella McGavitt posted a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds and Allie Yauch added 11 points for the Commodores.
Hopewell 63, Northgate 12 – Caylee Sundy scored 17 points, McKenna Ladson had 12 and Christy Sundy added 11 for Hopewell (11-11) in a nonsection win. Nia Salih scored eight points for Northgate (6-15).
Knoch 52, Laurel 31 – Adah Fuller scored 17 points and Naturelle Ewing added 15 to lead Knoch (13-9) to a nonsection win. Lexi Krol led Laurel (4-18) with 11 points.
Lincoln Park 54, Aliquippa 42 – Sarah Scott scored 15 points and Maddie Syka added 12 as Lincoln Park (20-2) won a nonsection matchup. Aunesty Johnson led Aliquippa (19-3) with 23 points.
Monessen 54, Charleroi 39 – MyAsia Majors put up 14 points and Sidney Campbell hit for 13 as Monessen (17-5) won a nonsection matchup. Bella Carroto scored 17 and Ella Sypolt added 11 for Charleroi (9-13).
Montour 43, Mars 42 – Jordyn Wolfe scored 14 points, Sterling McCleaster followed with 13 and Sofia Brandy added 10 to push Montour (9-13) to a nonsection win. Cecilia Christy scored 14 points and Vita Vargo had 11 for Mars (11-10).
North Allegheny 61, Woodland Hills 55 – Grace Helliger scored 18 points, Caroline Henderson added 14, including four 3-pointers, and Kellie McConnell chipped in 11 to lead North Allegheny (20-2) to a nonsection win. Hope Hawkins scored 24 points and Jhalynn Wilson added 13 for Woodland Hills (9-11).
Peters Township 70, Greensburg Central Catholic 52 – Gemma Walker dropped 22 points and Natalie Wetzel followed with 20 as Class 6A No. 2 seed Peters Township (21-1) defeated Class 2A No. 1 seed Greensburg Central Catholic (16-6) in nonsection play. Erica Gribble led all scorers with 28 points and Mya Morgan had 11 for the Centurions.
Pine-Richland 49, Beaver 23 – Madison Zavasky led all scorers with 24 points and Cate Gentile tallied 12 for Pine-Richland (8-13) in a nonsection win over Beaver (7-13). Annsley Baker scored 12 points for the Bobcats.
Seton LaSalle 72, Steel Valley 24 – Mallory Daly led Seton LaSalle (12-8) with 23 points, Addie Lonergan followed with 21 and Tiara Curry added 11 in a nonsection win. Ava Caiairelli scored 14 points for Steel Valley (0-22).
Trinity Christian 35, Propel Braddock Hills 19 – Elena Myer scored 16 points and Eilidh Edgar added 10 to lead Trinity Christian. Kayla Knight led Propel Braddock Hills with six points.
Waynesburg 67, California 38 – Kaley Rohanna led all scorers with 28 points and Avery Davis had 13 for Waynesburg (20-2) in a nonsection victory. Rakiyah Porter put up 18 for California (10-12).

Carrick 12, Knoch 1 – Tanner Heidkamp had four goals and two assists, Shane Birkfeld added two goals and three assists, and Drew Bird finished with a goal and two assists for Carrick (10-4-2) in Varsity D2. Nick Olshanski scored for Knoch (5-13).
Deer Lakes 3, Neshannock 2 – Zachary Nacey, Hank Szenyeri and Mason Cervone scored for Deer Lakes (10-6-1) in a Varsity D2 win. Nick Bucci scored twice for Neshannock (13-3-1).
Franklin Regional 2, Penn-Trafford 1 (OT) – Shawn Sinclair buried the game-winning goal 16 seconds into overtime to lift Franklin Regional (10-5-2) past Penn-Trafford (7-7-4) in Class 2A. Bryce Kropczynski scored the lone goal for the Warriors. Nick Matus also scored for the Panthers.
Meadville 11, Kiski 3 – Zach Schepner produced a hat trick while Ryan Yunik and Graham Shellhaas each scored twice as Meadville (10-5-2) rolled to a Class A win. Phil Pandolph, Dougie Phillis, Preston Phillis and Cam Arpin each added a goal for the Bulldogs. Jake Stanley, Dakota Wilson and Ethan Bombalski scored for Kiski (0-19).
Moon 5, Hampton 1 – Clayton Foster scored twice, Eric Hartlam added a goal and two assists, Jordan Rieke collected a goal and an assist, and Tyler Rieke made 32 saves to lead Moon (10-8) to a Class A win. Joey Stephenson scored for Hampton (4-15).
North Allegheny 7, Canon-McMillan 1 – Jake Fritz recorded a hat trick and Ryan Jackman netted a pair as North Allegheny (11-4-2) beat Canon-McMillan (1-17) in Class 3A. Marc Joyson and Ravi Desai each added a goal for the Tigers. Rocco Musto scored the Big Macs’ only goal.
Plum 5, Beaver 2 – Colby Bartos, Anthony Smith, Maksim Popienko and Nick Majors each had a goal and an assist and Luca Lapiana also scored for Plum (10-6-1) in a Class A win. Trevor Schmidt and Zack Masters scored for Beaver (9-8-2).
Quaker Valley 8, West Allegheny 1 – Max Modrovich and Coleman Carey both scored a pair of goals to lead Quaker Valley (16-1-1) to a Class A win. Jack Watson, Jacob Keisel, Jace Vasbinder and Luke Koehler each added a goal for the Quakers. Johnny Ortiz scored for West Allegheny (2-17).
Ringgold 8, Sewickley Academy 3 – Matt Sylvester scored twice, Bruce Santina added a goal and three assists, Caden Doran had a goal and two assists, and Nolan Mosco dished out three assists for Ringgold (10-5-2) in Varsity D2. Jayden Garcha, Luca Peluso and Kolton Kelly scored for Sewickley Academy (0-16-1).
Wilmington 5, Central Valley 3 – Andrew Cartwright scored a hat trick and Sean Carmichael and Brody Young each added a goal for Wilmington (3-13-1) in a Varsity D2 win. Kevin Tomko had a goal and an assist for Central Valley (8-11).
