High school roundup for Feb. 13, 2024: Blackhawk, Mars hockey teams pick up wins

Owen Keister had two goals and an assist to lead Blackhawk to a 10-1 win over Westmont Hilltop in PIHL Class A hockey Tuesday night.

Finn Conlon and Owen Gratowski scored two goals apiece and Matias Huber had a goal and two assists for Blackhawk (15-2-1). Ethan Downey scored for Westmont Hilltop (0-19).

Mars 7, McDowell 0 – Luke Olshenske scored twice, Ethan Lipchin had a goal and three assists and Grant Weaver added a goal and two assists to help Mars (15-4) past McDowell (4-12-3) in Class A. Carter Gallagher made 12 saves to earn the shutout.

Bishop McCort 6, North Hills 4 – Nikita Kolomejtsev had a hat trick and Timur Naletov collected two goals and three assists to lead Bishop McCort (6-12-1) to a Class 2A win. Chris Muschar and Jonathan Trosky each had a goal and an assist for North Hills (0-17).

Wheeling Catholic 5, Richland 4 (OT) – Logan Pielech scored the overtime winner and Zach Vitlip had a hat trick to lead Wheeling Catholic (7-9-2) to a Class A win. Jack Lorence scored twice for Richland (5-12-2).
