The South Side Rams had little trouble with the Beaver County Christian Eagles Monday night in Hookstown coming away with a solid, if not inspiring 3-1 on their home floor, in a non-section match.

The Rams rolled in game one behind the setting of senior Samantha Gibson and the kills of Cheyenne Seik and sophomore Toni Yacoviello rattling off nine straight at one point to build the lead to 20-8 before finishing 25-18.

The Eagles responded in game two with a pretty convincing 25-12 win behind some great play from Emily Havrankek, Mia Padgett, and Dalashay Whitehead, never allowing South Side to string together more than two points in a row in the game.

But the Rams bounced back in a big way taling the next two games by scores of 25-13 and 25-20. Gibson's sets led the way as senior outside hitter Sarah Androlia took the match by storm with her tremendous right arm, the Eagles could not find an answer. The win improves the Rams to 7-5 they remain 5-3 in section play.

The match took place on pink-out night with both teams wearing pink highlighted jerseys made especially for the occasion as everyone there tried to raise money for breast cancer awareness.

Both clubs remain in control of their playoff hopes heading down the stretch. Rams head coach Jason Benkowski told MSA Sports after the match he is happy with his teams progress. "The goal every August is to make sure your team is better in October than they are in August, and we are certainly there right now." Said Benkowski. Can they continue to improve into and through the playoffs? Stay tuned to the MSA Sports Network to find out.
