Mars’ Robby Carmody earns All-Pennsylvania honor from USA Today

Mars senior Robby Carmody was the lone Western Pennsylvania player to earn a spot on USA Today’s All-Pennsylvania boys basketball team announced Monday.
The Notre Dame recruit earned first-team honors with Westtown’s Cam Reddish, Monsignor Bonner’s Isaiah Wong, Roman Catholic’s Seth Lundy and Bethlehem Catholic’s Ryan Young. Reddish, a 6-foot-8 Duke recruit, was named Pennsylvania Player of the Year.
Carmody averaged 31.1 points, 14.1 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 1.6 blocks for Mars (25-5), which won the WPIAL Class 5A title and was PIAA runner-up.
Roman Catholic’s Matt Griffin was named as the state’s top coach.
