Penn-Trafford and Shady Side Academy Crowned WPIAL Field Hockey Champs

2010 was the Year of the Tigers in WPIAL field hockey as both North Allegheny in Class AAA and Ellis School in Class AA won district titles. However in 2011, the Tigers were declawed as both defending champions lost in the championship match. Ellis School ost to Shady Side Academy as the Indians captured their 11th WPIAL field hockey crown. Meanwhile, Penn-Trafford was a first-time title winner as they blanked North Allegheny. Here are all of the finals from the 2011 WPIAL Girls Field Hockey Championships.
2011 WPIAL CLASS AAA CHAMPIONSHIP:
Penn-Trafford Warriors 3 – North Allegheny Tigers 0 (MSA)
WPIAL CLASS AAA Semifinals:
Penn-Trafford Warriors 2 – Woodland Hills Wolverines 0
North Allegheny Tigers 2 – Fox Chapel Foxes 0
