Welcome to another edition of “PIHL News and Notes,” your continuing source for all the scholastic hockey happenings you may not hear about on “The PIHL Power Play.” Today might be Valentine’s Day, but State College and Kittanning had no love for the perfect records of Fox Chapel and Mars based on the results of two thrilling contests recently, and we have full recaps in store. Meanwhile, West Allegheny hopes its offense is ready for March while John Marshall’s string of overtime success should boost their confidence heading into the postseason.

Plus, our “Game of the Week” previews include a clash of longtime rivals in Class AAA and a battle for first place in Class A. So join us once again for a look at what else is happening in each classification
