Perry is Golden in City League Football Title Game

The Perry Commodores used a big play offense and a suffocating defense to win their 16th City League football championship with a 32-0 win over the Brashear Bulls at Cupples Stadium. Greg McGhee was named the game's MVP, rushing for 70 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns and throwing for 171 yards and a score.

West Allegheny AA Runner-Up in 2010 PIAA Girls Volleyball Playoffs
It was a rough state postseason for District 7 teams. Only one WPIAL team survived the first three rounds to qualify for a championship match berth. WPIAL Class AA third-seed West Allegheny made it to the finals, only to fall in three games to District 1 champion Merion Mercy.

District College Football Recap for Saturday, November 20th with update on Robert Morris playoff
The 20 team field for the NCAA Division I FCS playoffs was announced this morning. Robert Morris(8-2), the Northeast Conference champion, will travel to North Dakota State(7-4) on Saturday. The Bison finished third in the Missouri Valley Conference. The winner travels to the 4th overall seed Montana State(9-2) in the second round Saturday, December 4th.

Hampton Talbots Golden in Winning PIAA AA Boys Soccer State Crown
The only WPIAL boys soccer team to make it to the PIAA finals has returned home with a state championship. The Hampton Talbots outlasted District 12 champion Archbishop Wood Friday night to win the schools second boys soccer state crown. Jonathan Mercier scored the games only goal for Hampton at 42:44 in the second half.

Peters Twp Wins PIAA Girls Soccer AAA Title: South Park and Sewickley Academy Settle for Silver
One golden retriever and two silver linings, that is what WPIAL girls soccer teams had to show for championship weekend at Hersheypark Stadium. Two weeks after winning the WPIAL AAA championship, Peters Township added PIAA gold to its memorable season for a first ever state crown.

District College Football Recap for Saturday, November 13th
