The district girls soccer championships are in the books with three new champions crowned on Super Soccer Saturday at both Baldwin and Elizabeth Forward High Schools. It was a golden Saturday for both Ryan Gil, who won the 2010 Boys Class AAA Individual cross-country race while his North Allegheny teammates finished first in the boys team standings at the Parkview Course in Hershey. The Planets capped off a perfect run through the WPIAL season with a 2-0 win over Beaver Saturday at Baldwin High School. A lawyer working at a firm in California happened to be a huge Texas Rangers fan.
