Running for 4,000 career yards isn't as rare as it used to be. Forty-seven players have done it in WPIAL history, and 40 of them have reached the mark since 1990. It was a historic day for WPIAL girl's golf Thursday at the Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon. The name of the game in girls golf in 2009 was repeats. Nadia Luttner won a second consecutive WPIAL girls golf championship. The Fox Chapel junior became only the sixth girls golfer to win back-to-back individual golf crowns. In team girls golf, Shady Side Academy captured the 2009 WPIAL Girls Team Golf title.
