The matchups have been set and the countdown begins for the ceremonial ribbon to be cut for the opening of the Highway to Heinz. The final day of the 2011 regular season and the final Saturday of high school football...well, until the WPIAL championships that is. Either Ford City or Shady Side Academy has won or tied for the conference championship six years in a row. Don’t look for the trend to stop this season.Ford City and Shady Side Academy are pegged by many coaches as the teams to beat in the Allegheny Conference. A year ago, Ford City finished first and Shady Side Academy fourth.
