It was a rough state postseason for District 7 teams. Only one WPIAL team survived the first three rounds to qualify for a championship match berth. A pair of schools are celebrating their first ever WPIAL girls volleyball championships after victories on Saturday at Franklin Regional High School. Frazier in Class A and Freeport in Class AA claimed inaugural hardwood gold while Pine-Richland won the Class AAA crown for the third time in school history and the Rams first title since 2005.
