Brooke Krally, a senior on the Fox Chapel cross country team, is entering her fourth year on the team. She was a member of the team that won the PIAA title two years ago. She hopes to keep running in college, and she is considering Duquesne, Pitt, W&J and a few schools in North and South Carolina. She hopes to study physical therapy and kinesiology. Here’s a closer look at this week’s Spotlight Athlete:

When did you get serious about running?

It was during the summer after eighth grade. I started falling in love with the sport, and I knew I had some potential.

What’s the most miles you’ve ever run in a day?

I ran 12 in one day, and it was unintentional. We had a 1012-mile loop to run, and I overran it.

What is your favorite class in school?

I like anatomy and physiology.

What type of music do you listen to most often?

Pop or rap.

What TV show makes you want to change the channel?

“The Bachelorette.” I used to like it but got turned off by it last season.

What movie could you watch over and over?

“The Shallows.” I love shark movies.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

Any Kardashian.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Surfside Beach in South Carolina.

If you weren’t involved with cross country and track, what sport would you be playing?

Probably tennis.

What’s your favorite cookout food?

Anything with chicken.

Who makes the best pizza in the area?

I like Little Caesar’s. Not a lot of people agree with me.

What would make up your favorite all-time meal?

Fettucine alfredo with chicken and shrimp on top.

If you were on “Dancing With the Stars,” who would you choose as your partner?

Grayson Dolan.

People would be surprised to know that you …

… used to be a pageant girl and I danced for 14 years of my life. I gave it up when I started getting involved with running.
