The Herald Spotlight Athlete: Emma Wecht, Fox Chapel

Emma Wecht, a sophomore on the Fox Chapel soccer team, scored three goals in a win over North Hills on Oct. 1. She plays the left forward and left middle positions and is also on the lacrosse team. She also played for the North United Rush U16 team in the U.S. Youth Soccer championships in Frisco, Texas in July.

If you could go somewhere you’ve never been before, where would you go?

Hawaii.

What’s the best book you’ve ever read?

“Wunder.”

“Kicking and Screaming.”

What was your costume the last time you went Trick-or-Treating?

A whoopee cushion.

Do you have a pregame ritual?

I shake hands with all of my teammates.

Who would be your dream date?

Zac Efron.

What three words would describe you?

Athletic, kind and hard-working.

Who would you like to see disappear from public view?

The Kardashians.

What would make up your favorite all-time meal?

Steak, potato skins and mashed potatoes.

Is there a food you refuse to eat?

Brussels sprouts.

What is your favorite TV show?

“This Is Us.”

What junk food do you have a weakness for?

Popcorn.
