Instead of the calm before the storm like we saw on the boys side this week, the winds of change were blowing strong against the teams ranked in the Trib HSSN girls basketball state rankings this past week.
There were changes in all six classifications, including two teams falling out of the Top 5 in Class 6A.
On the brink of the start of the district playoffs, there is time for these teams to re-enter, but for now, out are Conestoga, Peters Township, Scranton, Punxsutawney, Westmont-Hilltop, Aliquippa and St. Joseph’s Academy.
Back in or debuting in the state rankings are Perkiomen Valley, Norwin, Hollidaysburg, Saint Mary’s, Forest Hills, Maplewood and Williamsburg.
There was one change at the top as Upper Dublin takes over the top spot in Class 6A from Cardinal O’Hara, which falls to No. 2.
