Despite the wet weather last week, there were enough games played for some shuffling in the latest edition of the Trib HSSN state baseball rankings.

Five teams, one in each class with the exception of Class 5A, lost their spot in the Top 5 including a big drop by North Penn, which went from No. 1 in 6A all the way out of the rankings following back-to-back losses.

The Knights weren’t the only team to lose their spot at the top of the rankings.

Bald Eagle lost to District 6 rival Philipsburg-Osceola, dropping the Eagles from No. 1 to No. 4 in Class 2A.

LaSalle College in 6A and Sharpsville in 2A take over at the top in those two classes.

The other four top-ranked teams from our inaugural rankings last week remain on top with Shaler in 5A, Bellefonte in 4A, Riverside in 3A and Southern Fulton in A.
