Here are four WPIAL high school football players to watch for Week 4:
Mason Stahl, QB, Baldwin
Baldwin is off to a 3-1 start, and Stahl’s play is a major reason why. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound junior quarterback/safety threw for 326 yards and five touchdowns in a 48-42 win over Moon. This week, the Fighting Highlanders will head to the Wolvarena to face Woodland Hills in a Class 5A Allegheny 8 Conference game.
Eli Kosanovich, QB, Aliquippa
The Aliquippa offense is averaging 56.0 points per game with Kosanovich leading the way. The 6-2, 195-pound quarterback completed 12 of 16 passes for 251 yards and six touchdowns in last week’s 62-0 nonconference win over Montour. This week, the Quips will hit the road to face rival Beaver Falls in a Class 3A Tri-County West game.
Brodie List, QB, Beaver
A dual-threat quarterback and middle linebacker, List (6-3, 205) ran for 177 yards and a touchdown and completed 8 of 13 passes for 118 yards and a score in last week’s 21-13 win over New Castle. This week, he and the Bobcats will travel to Highlands for a Class 4A Northwest 8 Conference game.
Josh Casilli, WR, Peters Township
With seven catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns , Casilli (6-0, 170) helped Peters Township defeat West Allegheny, 42-28, last week. The junior wide receiver has 11 catches for 263 yards this season. The Indians head to North Hills on Friday for a marquee nonconference contest.
