Westmoreland County players to watch for 2024 Week 1

Kymon’e Brown
Jeannette, Jr., WR/QB/DB
The 6-foot, 145-pound junior had quite a game against Mt. Pleasant. He had four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown. He also completed 8 of 10 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. He was the team’s leading receiver in 2023. He and the Jayhawks will host a nonconference game Friday against Apollo-Ridge.
Players to watch
Tyler Boss
Penn-Trafford, Jr., WR/DB
The 5-foot-10, 155-pound junior wide receiver/defensive back caught two passes for 15 yards against Norwin. He also is a starter in the defensive backfield and is expected to play a key role for the Warriors.
Cam Phillips
Southmoreland, Sr., RB/LB/KR
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound senior kicked off the season with a great game against Valley. He rushed for 97 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. But it was his 84-yard kickoff return for a touchdown that turned the tide and gave the Scotties the momentum. He finished with 154 yards on three returns.
Jake Sincak
Norwin, sr., RB
The 5-foot-9, 163-pound senior had a solid game against Penn-Trafford. He scored on an 18-yard touchdown run when he refused to go down, moving the pile the final 10 yards into the end zone. He rushed for a team-high 86 yards on 12 carries. He also caught two passes for 33 yards. Norwin rushed for 228 yards.
